Beginning Digital Underwater photography class

Stunning underwater photographs, once limited to expensive, bulky photo systems are giving way to the new digital compact cameras. This class will be the first in a series giving an overview of:
- Set-up, pre and post dive assembly and maintenance of cameras and strobes
- understanding photo basics (ISO, Shutter speeds, F-stops, white balance, resolution &file type options, histogram)
- Getting the shot without harming the environment
- Strobes and their placement; light the subject, not the water
- Composition: creating photographs from snapshots
- Wide angle, macro and close up with wet mount lenses
- Memory cards: what kind do I need?
Students are encouraged to bring their questions and cameras. The class size is limited to 6. This is a classroom only course, with no in water training.
