We teach diving and snorkeling to kids and adults, in our well maintained and heated pool. Family and friends are welcome to watch from the comfort of our shaded patio area.

The Open Water Diving Course is the first phase of your scuba education. At this level, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including the operation of dive equipment and diving techniques. Upon completion, you will have the skills to dive with a buddy, independent of a scuba professional. We have a variety of different classroom and testing environments to meet your individual needs.

Open Water Scuba Certification (PADI)

Part 1: Group Weekend Classroom & Pool Option
Our group classes are held on the weekends and consist of one weekend at our Marin location. The classroom and pool training is held on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm, with a break for lunch each day. In order to provide excellent service and an interactive teaching environment, we limit our weekend classes to two groups of no more than 6 students each. This weekend prepares you for our Open Water Training held in Monterey, or if you already have a trip planned, you can utilize the Tropical Referral Program to finish your training at a warm water destination. Classes fill up quickly, so be sure to call for pricing and make your reservation as soon as possible.

We have a large comfortable classroom facility where we teach all of our coursework. We use modern digital equipment and offer complimentary hot and cold beverages.

Part 1: Group Home Study Option
This is our most flexible program for becoming scuba certified. After speaking with an instructor, you will start by studying the course material at home and completing the knowledge review tests at your own pace. You will then complete your pool training in one day. This training prepares you for our Open Water Training held in Monterey, or if you already have a trip planned, you can utilize the Tropical Referral Program to finish your training at a warm water destination. Classes fill up quickly, so be sure to call for pricing and make your reservation as soon as possible.

Part 1: Private Instruction Option
For the busy professional. Our Private Open Water course is available for individuals or small groups of family and friends. In our private class, your group will have a private instructor, and your class and pool schedules will be set to meet the needs of your individual group. These classes are scheduled during our normal business hours. This training prepares you for our Open Water Training held in Monterey, or if you already have a trip planned, you can utilize the Tropical Referral Program to finish your training at a warm water destination.

Part 2: Open Water Training
After you complete Part 1 of our course, you are ready for the Open Water Training . Locally, the Open Water Training portion of the course is held in Monterey . If you already have a tropical dive vacation planned, we can send you with the necessary paper work to complete your training at your destination.

Prospective students must be in good health and complete a medical prescreening to insure their safety during the course. Please contact us if you have questions about a currently-existing medical condition.
