I started diving on our north coast in the 70’s as a freediver. We would drive up the coast and dive for abalone and fish then have a big cookout with friends at our favorite campsite.

I was certified as a scuba diver in 1980 but I still enjoy the freedom and challenge of freediving. Since 1992 I have been the trip leader/divemaster on special free diving trips to Mexico and Southern California and I really enjoy introducing new free divers to our North Coast.

At Marin Dive Center I am the equipment repair specialist as well as a salesperson and trip leader. I really enjoy the social aspects of diving. There is nothing like sharing some great diving stories with friends after a day on the ocean and you can’t beat a meal of all fresh seafood you have gathered yourself.
