When I was five years old, I saw my father diving and wanted to do it ever since. It was so exciting to imagine exploring the unknown and discovering the mysteries of the world underwater.

I was certified in 1984 at Marin Skin Diving. I’ve made well over 1000 dives since then and I still love the thrill of exploration and discovery that is so much a part of diving.

California diving is my favorite, especially the Pinnacles in Carmel Bay. Most of my dives have been in Monterey, the Sonoma and Mendocino coasts, and California Channel Islands. I have also dived in Cozumel and the Sea of Cortez.

Teaching opened another new world in diving for me. I was certified as an instructor in 1991. I enjoy meeting people and the challenge of introducing diving to the variety of students that diving attracts.

I am an underwater photographer, very interested in digital technology. At Marin Dive Center, I am an instructor and salesperson . I am also a dive master on our boat in Monterey, Beach Hopper II. If you want to learn to dive, let’s get started! If you already dive, let’s go diving!
